Her hair was bad, her dress looked cheap, and overall, I don’t think it deserved the praise, much less a standing ovation. I think the performance on its own was pretty mediocre, but it definitely showed that there are some facets to her voice that she can tap into. Nobody I know that has actual musical knowledge or experience liked it at all, but people who did like it say it’s because they liked her personality.
